Don’t understand that one John but sure you’re right
Yeah it’s just a few albums I think are a little over appreciated maybe compared to actual quality in relation to the discog. Maybe NIN ‘The Fragile’? Deftones ‘Saturday Night’?
‘In Rainbows’ is a 5 and ‘Clockwork’ is a 3.5 so whatevz - just a ting a ling, no biggie smalls

‘the worst Radiohead album’
C’mon
Just the two friendliest RH albums I dunno, they’re ‘a pair’ for me where HTTT or whatever never feels like that

Josh has always been a fan of a Bowie inflection, he did it a fair bit on Era Vulgaris and Like Clockwork.

Tuna - that’s true, just seems a little more prominent here
EDIT: ok, heading in for full second spin now

Last three songs do the heavy lifting, I'll keep the generous 3 rating mostly to emphasise this is better than Villains (DEFINITELY a 2.5)

I changed my mind about Made to Parade, it is one of the highlights for me on this now. I cannot get into Sicily or What the Peephole Sya though. I think this will eventually drop to 3.5, but for now there are enough interesting elements in each song and the melodies are overall catchy, though certainly not mind blowing.

Sicily is one of the best for me, dunno

The album is just very consistent, all around. Nothing "Mind blowing", but it's just a really good, quality rock album. Even when QOTSA isn't blowing the socks off of of fans, their regular, good day, is better than the majority of what we get these days from other acts; that is a testament of how consistent of a band they are.
While, this is better than Villains as a whole, Villains second half holds some of my favorite song from the band. Damn, that album gets a lot of unwarranted hate... but that's just me.
Paper Machete, Negative Space, Time and Place, and What The Peephole Say, are go-to's at the moment. Just very fun tracks to drive to.

Pablo and Moon?… yeah maybe 🤔

Bends and Pablo
You could make an argument that moon shaped dookie is also worse than ok comp. as an ~album~ it definitely is, but I like the good songs on moon shaped human turd better than anything on so gay computer
