The djent to me adds an extra layer of moodiness and feeling to it. I'd likely like this less if it was only R&B or only metal, it's the in between combination stuff that gets me. I'm actually surprised I got over the vocals so quick because typically the thick British accents are a turn off for me.

Honestly think they could really pull off a cool dark pop/alt rock/RnB sound and itd be a solid sound. The lyrics need to mature or lean into the cult thing they have set themselves up for. The djent/heavy side of this is the weakest link of the whole sound. Also i think he would be better off just dropping his harsh vox fully. If they keep the heavy instrumental sections for moodiness that would still be good.

I don't think I'd remove anything other than maybe DYWTYLM. I dunno, it's just such a beautiful dynamic between the quiet and the loud for me.

that's the whole point of the band to combine the djent riffs and harsh vox with the emotive moments, that is their whole shtick, just don't listen if you don't like it

Lead singer sounds a lot like James Arthur, I know that guy is pretty big into heavy music too. I know it's notnhim though, different build and tattoos etc. but quite convincing vocally.

"just don't listen if you don't like it"
I wont be in future, i decided that i wanted to form my own opinion. Experience the whole package to see if i could understand it and not just writing it off
Edit: Also sorry Venin if my blackgaze list off came across as rude

Wow, I'm surprised there's anyone here that actually likes this hilariously awful tripe. This is easily the worst band out there right now. They are so bad they make Limp Bizkit look like a solid act.

DYWTYLM, Are You Really Ok? and Aqua Regia are bad but overall I quite like a lot of this.
It’s funny given Johnny referenced them in his review that the best thing Vessel has ever sung was his cover of Loathe’s - Is It Really You? which is a beautifully constructed song with a soaring chorus… just highlights to me Sleep Token don’t have the songwriting chops yet to pull off that feeling
