Highlighting a link is about five times more effort than I’d be willing to put in to doing anything for you

“I haven't kept up with the discourse for this, is the general consensus is its fine with some cool features but everything is just kinda underbaked and we have to poke around the casserole for morsels of nuggets but a lot of the pasta is still dry?”

Id say that’s a tad optimistic for what the detractors have been saying but for those defending it I think that’s about right, so take the average of what you just said and “this doesn’t have a single redeemable quality” and that’s probably the closest you’ll get to the truth

Admit it Potsy this one is more like a 3 you're just the biggest Gorillaz Stan on this website no one knew about and you're mad about the direction

Literally by definition if I was a Gorillaz “Stan” I would be simping for anything they put out regardless of quality, like Zak.

But yes, I am a big fan of the first three albums and have not liked the direction they’ve taken with the last three, none of that is a secret, Linda

It’s a 1

Don’t get the derision for this one at all.

It’s an absolute belter. Can’t stop listening to at the moment.

It’s ruthless in delivering quality rhythms, melodies and uplifting concise pop gems while conveying a sense of a tired, jaded disenfranchised lamenting soul all wrapped up in less than 40 mins.

It’s fucking class.

I like the idea of Damon Albarn more than the reality, probably had about 20 great songs in him across all his work

Respect him but not a songwriter touched by magic imo

The 12 song Gorillaz best of will be tight, release and goodnight

Strange comparison but sure, could be, I’d like something that isn’t anything like this

I genuinely think Gorillaz will have one of the best Greatest Hits albums though

It’s toothless in delivering mediocre rhythms, melodies and disaffecting homogenous pop flops while conveying a sense of a tired, jaded disenfranchised lamenting soul all wrapped up in a very long 40 mins.

It’s fucking drek

I agree with Potsy. I didn't come into this expecting much more than a few light bops surrounded by filler, but it just ended up being all filler. Not even sure it deserves the 2/5 I gave it, lol. I guess because it's just boring and not aggressively terrible...
