Like others have mentioned, this album is definitely a grower, feeling quite an indifferent experience on first lesson, but much more enjoyable on the third play through.



The album does lack fluidity, and as such it regularly drifts from mellow and relaxed, to more upbeat, then back again, making it not the most cohesive piece, however with the exception of a few, slightly too experimental tracks, the album is well done overall.



I notice that others have mentioned a lack of charisma and emotion, but I think the emotion portrayed matches the music well enough.

Wish this was a grower, it was more of a shrinker in my case lol. Not sure I'd use "well made" to describe it either, lot of compositions have a tendency to collapse on themselves or lose a sense of purpose halfway through.

In the minority on this one. I love this album as well as Wait For Love. It creates a feel and vibe. Gonna have to disagree that there is no conviction in the songwriting, because there is. Drums are interesting, guitars are beautiful and well thought out, and the lyrics are both emotive and effective. It might come across as boring live, I thought that when I saw them in 2018 while supporting Wait For Love, but as a cohesive project this album rules.

Like I've said before, not sure how some of y'all are able to get any emotion from this but more power to you. There's not enough groundwork to earn any sort of worthwhile vibe.
