I mean, the songwriting here is pretty airtight, especially compared to IT who have a much more jazz-esque approach. Unless you're just not a fan of dissodeath in general, in which case I'm not sure what you expected from a dissodeath album?

aka awesomeness, agreed

okay very very goodness, anyway (probably more of a 3.7-8 ish than a flat 4 but whatever, we can / may potentially adjust this later)

Yeah probably my favorite one. Also the albums interlude track is one of the coolest I've heard in a while.

Beton Brut is excellent, though the opener and the closer are two of the best songs from last year. Tragic Heroin is a banger too (note the gravity blast at the end).

“album has a severe defect of minor thirds disney bollocks”

What does this even mean? You’re far more likely to hear the major 3rd progression in Disney music, though minor 3rd progressions are in all types of different music. The thing I really like about this album is that they largely eschew power chords in favour of other voicings, so it has a much more ‘urban’ feel to it (as opposed to something like Primordial), which ties in to the concept of what this album is about.

whoops *deficit (must have been autocorrect on a phone comment) - was in response to tundra and regarding the usual innocuous noodling bullshit he usually reps (agreed that this v much eschews that kind of melodic vocab)
