yeah it took me a while to figure that out but I definitely think it's a play on words for "game's over love, murder won" that probably is explained by some tie-in to the story.

Anyone buy the deluxe edition with the book? What even is the story for this one other than "Magic kid is in a coma; parents running from Wilhelm-looking mofo"

I ordered the book but haven't gotten the boxset yet. I have the Vaxis I set too but I never read it since I wasn't all that into the story. Never read the book for Descension either. I really have a lot of Coheed shit for albums I'm not that into.

@bowler yeah I think we are in agreement. "Game's over love. Murder won." is the correct interpretation. Sputnik certified. The lyric makes sense and is good now!

"Love Murder One" is a double entendre. As others have pointed out, you can hear it as "Game's over Love, murder won". The other way to hear it is as a match score; if a team (Love) loses to another team (Murder) by getting skunked, it's not uncommon to hear the score read as "Love - Murder 1". "Marlins - Mets 1" would be a more real world example.
I believe the practice these days is pretty much always to list the winning team first and to state the score of "zero", so that may not track as well today. However, when scoring tennis, a score of zero is referred to as "Love", so if you watch any match of tennis you will inevitably hear the score as "One - Love" after the first point is scored.

Fan theory: since Vaxis the character seems to experience time in a non-linear fashion, future installments will connect back to the og amory wars story with lots of song callbacks. The fifth Vaxis record opens up with Star Cecil

All I have gotten out of this story is that two powerful people had a baby and the baby is stuck sleeping but is the worlds only hope for survival. And the parents sing to the baby. I mean, I havnt paid attention to the lyrics much (except the love, murder won analysis) so I’m sure I’m missing some things.

Never heard of it, but the plot vaguely sounds like God of War with made up mythology instead of Greek based mythology.

ctrl+F Sirius in that bad boy and let me know what you find out. Also I'm guessing the weird dude with a head on his "Shoulders" is romantically involved with Naia or wants to be? The visualizer for Love Murder One makes me think it's about those two.
