So two songs that came out when this album was probably already finished... and a song that doesn't sound anything like all candy, perfect

People keep comparing these guys to ETID.
Yo Jeet, give me one ETID track like Echo and Dust Pt1.
I'll wait.

By the way, listened to this 3 times and it seems to live up to what I expected.
Can't wait to listen some more. I smiled like a donkey when the first track started rolling.
So happy.

Dont need to lil mama. We all know these guys are doing ETID worship. They got some He Is Legend sprinkled in too. Its ok to admit one of your favorite bands is running with other band's styles.

...and I hear more late career Dillinger than anything else
And I feel like if everyone is constantly bringing up different bands these guys are supposedly stealing from... maybe its because they've taken influence from a variety of different bands to create their own sound? Just like any other band?

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m getting at, and I like Sowing’s description too, they’re a more melodic ETID. They’re not ripping anyone off.

Comparing bands and albums is what a lot of threads boil down to now. It's always "x is better than y". Like I get it, its a music discussion site. But man, can't people just enjoy some good songs without nitpicking every little negative detail? It's like some people don't even try to enjoy music anymore, they just wanna critique it.

Jay saying what I've been thinking. Why I wain off threads is because of that BS. I also don't get why one new release isn't "good" because another is better. I really enjoy Monuments new record, but I prefer this one. Thing is, that doesn't make that record turn to shit. Or the BS that this is a "worse version of ETID" because they ARE NOT ETID.
Part of me wishes I didn't even mention ETID on this review because it wasn't about comparison. It was only about the fact that this is the first big southern metal release in a post-ETID. Trying to ask or answer the question: Can Greyhaven take a bigger piece of the pie now that the king is gone? Not if Greyhaven is better.

Also, my other big issue on this thread is people dropping 4's and 4.5's and going "All Candy sucks". Like dude, I could only name a handful of albums with a perfect tracklist. Why don't you tell me why the rest of the album is incredible in your eyes.
Note: Not a dig to the people dropping 3's and shit. Clearly the album is "good" to them, but not incredible.
