Guess he's rather talking about I Could Die For You and Midnight, which are a low point on here.

I can actually enjoy I Could Die For You, it's more Midnight, Cabron, On Mercury, Throw Away Your Television and Warm Tape that drag it down for me.

There's nothing wrong with Cabron, although it is a bit silly.

agree with that other than warm tape which i really dig

throw away your tv sucks on record but it goes hard as fuck live when they do that 'don't you ever leave' outro

anyone who has seen the slane castle show will know what i mean

On Mercury is amazing though, one of my favs. And Throw Away Your Television has a pretty strong rhythm section. Best Smith performance on the LP.

It is a pretty long album, in the old days this would of been 2 discs, going to have a few filler tunes, but even so those 2 aren't terrible.

'Don't Forget Me' is also one that sounds better live than on the album

I just have a doubt. If a song like "They are Red Hot" isn't filler, then, what it is?

They're Red Hot isn't filler, it's awesome. They even played it when I saw them live a few years ago.

Frusciante transpired passion and emotion on Don't Forget Me whenever they played it live, it was incredible.

Well, there's no doubt that Chili's best creative period was when he was around, but I wouldn't dismiss Slovak's output in the band as well, which was pretty great if not overlooked, Uplift Mofo Party Plan is a great album.

But yeah, Frusciante is sorely missed in the band nowadays.

John Frusciante elevated the band from being at the top of the funk rock scene to being the #1 band in the world.

"But the funk-metal of BSSM paired with Kiedis as an obnoxious sex maniac is kind of exhausting for over 70 minutes."

My word have you listened to anything apart from Sir Psycho from that album! Couldn't be further away from the truth with your description
