Jenny Was A Friend of Mine > Smile Like You Mean It > Somebody Told Me > All These Things That I've Done > Mr.Brightside

tbh I don't even understand how Mr.Brightside was their most popular, it's not as catchy as Somebody Told Me

Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll might be my favorite these days. Haven't heard the whole album in a while though.

It never "grew off" i just never liked it that much.

The lyrics of the song genuinely kind of bother me in the beginning too. I don't know, it's kind of gross and sad and pathetic all at the same time. The chorus and the beginning riff are amazing though.

A lot of the early 2000s 'post punk' revivalism stuff is just inherently nostalgic, mood music.

Nostalgic whether from a genuine or aesthetic perspective is debatable and subjective from your age, the decade you were brought up into. I was born in 2000 and tracks like Smile Like You Mean It just strike a major nostalgia trigger, midnight MTV, latenight radio.

Album all around is still fantastic. Unfortunately the innocence, naivety and vibrance from this record is lost on the rest of their discography. Sams Town is great, but nothing quite has the feel this had.

This was my favorite album in High School, came out the summer before my Freshman year. This album I associate with so much in my life, new beginnings, new friends, and carries a lot of nostalgia for me of a different time.
