Are you calling Between the Buried and Me the Michael Bay Transformers of music?

It's probably just me but I rarely get invested emotionally in metal because the lyrics are usually pretty mediocre. So all I listen to metal for is the crazy technical precision and experimental chops that a lot of genres don't have the balls to approach. In that sense, this album gives me everything I'm looking for.

You guys must not listen to a lot of complicated music if you can't wrap your heads around this one....

more like the Fast and Furious series
one fan justification they have in common is "it's really fun man, don't take it so seriously!"

even if you listen to hella dizzying grindcore and tech death
there is a thing as too much. Tool for example made it easy to digest 80 mins back in 2001. this is a lot of musical “info” in 79 mins.

yea I don't listen to any complicated music, I only jam drone when they play a single note every 20 seconds for 50 minutes

"Am I the only one who thinks the second half of this record is the best thing ever?"

I disagree here even though I do really like Tool. Something like Lateralus has always been a bit of slog for me to sit all the way through, as it's built on simpler song structures with a lot of emphasis on atmosphere and repetition... whereas something like this is just so zany and all over the place that there's never a dull moment. I've jammed this thing in full like six times and every time feels almost like the first. Every time I start to think I know where something is going measure by measure, they completely throw me off. Always loved that about this band though I can def understand why that isn't for everyone.

BTBAM's always been a band that attracts dilusional crybabies and godawful edgelord purists. yall can pathetically 1, 2 or 3 this but the monolithic avrg withstands any pitiful trolling attempt out of sheer ignorance. no ones gonna remember u anyway

This album (and this band in general) is the musical equivalent of Hobo With a Shotgun

just listening now, and so far, not much is memorable aside from the gimmicky bits & musicianship, plus the production sounds weaker than it prolly could be
So ya. it's definitely a btbam record!
