I think fantano is just a lazy reviewer. I mean his review of Inlet was a 5/10 and his favorite/least favorite tracks were 1 and 2. Doesn’t get more “I listened to this exactly once” than that.

When people state these things I wanna be like ooh that’s my favorite song from this and then I remember every song from this is my favorite song and I can’t pick one. But god damn that song is one of the best Shoegaze songs in years.

To make the playing field even: best opener since Dream House and that’s correct and no longer feel bad for my response.

I still think In Blur, Great Mass of Color and Lament for Wasps are my favourite here but Shellstar is starting to get there too. The Ghashing is also relevant, tbh the three singles the band released were solid for me.
