Still one of my favourite albums of all time. Just blows everything else out of the water.

Just got back from seeing KW live. Only show they were doing in my city, so paid for a ticket to a six act mini-fest just to see them (I would’ve stayed for George Clanton and Eartheater, but, y’know, man’s gotta work tomorrow). This album is probably my favourite metal album of the last few years and god damn it translates well live. Kris’ different vocal approach during live shows took me by surprise though - I don’t necessarily think it hurts the music, but it’s definitely a lot gothier than the ethereal sound they put to tape. Also surprised at the lack of backing vocals or harmonies.
