"I dont think the multimillionaire, internationally famous 18 year old with hordes of fans is really a soft target"

i don't think she is either, but making fun of an 18 yo for sappy lyricism is like making fun of a 6 yo for playing w/tonka trucks

Hey an 18 year old is still an adult so they are fair game to be dunked on, still doesn’t negate my criticisms for the album. Hope she brings more to the table next time.

Lets be real, an 18 year old is an adult with a teenager brain. Going through a shitty breakup feels like a world-ender for most teens, she's just writing what she knows.

I don't understand the notion that 18 year olds are supposed to be better at managing their emotions than grown adults

I totally understand the emotional impact and struggle a teenage breakup can be, I’m not completely devoid of that concept and I won’t argue that at all. Doesn’t change the fact that half the songs on this album are basically the same song with different window dressing. She’s obviously talented but the songwriting on this is one note, which I’m sure will improve in time.
