True, especially on Terra and The Link. The riff in the verses of Love is still one of my favorites by the band because of just how fucking hard it goes

This was cool but I was hoping it would be better after hearing Born for One Thing. A bit of a let down but still a fun listen. For me a step down from Magma, as I don’t think it rides that line between heavy and accessible quite as well.

I don't understand how this could be mixed by one of the most prolific, well-respected veteran mix engineers in all of rock history but sounds THIS bad.

I don't get the problem with the mix, it all feels like everyone is overreacting because they turned the bass up a little bit

Idk, I think it just sounds both flat and muddled at the same time. Besides, the bass was already really prominent in the mixes of previous records; that's why FMTS sounds heavier than most deathcore records despite being mostly in D tuning

has nothing to do with the bass, it just lacks punch and has too much reverb

I'm gonna have to listen to this. I only listened to the first two singles so far and I'm not a huge fan of Magma personally.
