These guys sound nothing like Ulcerate lol. Other than being a death metal group that happens to be dissonant. The pacing and style and production are all different. Calling them a clone is super reductive for no good reason. All dissonance doesn't sound the same and it's easy to hear if you pay attention.

Holy smokes where did these guys came from? Superbly technical, yet still very atmospheric and truly mindfucking stuff, tailormade for Gorguts and Ulcerate fans. Definitely needs more than one listen to really decipher the place of every instrument, but it is sure as hell not mindless wanking. Very impressive.

Well if they hid any maj7s here I'm sure they've been carefully smothered in disharmonies or by the drums, haven't caught those dreamy bossa vibes yet lol

Well I mean you can make maj7 chords sound ugly af if you have more dissonant chords to contextualize them but none jumped out at me in two listens. Especially since they're apparently not even using a standard string relationship in the tuning. But maj7 chords are good for more than just bossa nova, that's for sure. On guitar, stack an 11th on top after you get some gain going and it's starts sounding kinda THICC

Nope, they made their own tuning for this.

Yeah, very smartly orchestrated dissonance. The t/t is pure soul swallowing blackness.
