The term "very" is very applicable on that matter as well. It offers more tho.

I think the dissonance is a little questionable and I would berate the snare but I suppose it is very heavy.

Yeah I was crazy for this, slapped it on my AOTY ballot, then promptly forgot it existed (sort of). New releases are like this sometimes.

New releases are always like that imo, save for a handful every year. It kinda sucks but there's just so much music to catch up on; old and new

"just so much music to catch up on; old and new"

yeah i've been struggling to balance catching up with newer releases to be up to date and perusing the ridiculously vast amount of music already out there lol

Dudes, just press play again X)

After a while is just hard, if not impossible, to keep all quality releases on your daily jams, so to speak. Some times, if not many, its not the album s quality fault at all.

@Ledd: the solution I’m currently exploring (and enjoying) is to completely forget new releases... (unless it’s an absolute essential I’ve been looking forward to).

A lot of the stuff I enjoyed from last year (and 2019) barely gets any play time now. Very brief liaisons, enjoyable but ultimately hollow. Now I’m in it for the long haul.

There are exceptions though. Just few and far between. Better hit rate for historic stuff.
