Ok so this is a lot less immediate than her previous one, but it also may be because it lacks the same surprise factor. The National one is especially lethargic. But I gotta say I gotta say the increased country influence here, songs like "ivy" and "marjorie" are just gorgeous

For sure Neek, though for me I found this super immediate. I think it's because I've already warmed up to the style with Folklore, plus I think this record has a stronger pop influence than Folklore did.
It's also funny how she's also releasing remixes of "Willow" and each one is great. * ahem Deftones take notes.

Folklore may still be her best, but what I like about this album is there is actually more going on musically. The different shades really sink in on repeated listening. And the lyrics are her most mature yet.
