I like glow pt 2 and the first lost wisdom, but absolutely hated Crow. Would I like this?

I also like glow pt 2 and the first lost wisdom but don't like crow. i went into this with tempered expectations over the fact that crow and everything since has sucked so hard and i ended up liking it a lot so yeah you might like it. go into it in a 'drone' minset tho or the first like 8 minutes will give you the wrong idea.

After sitting with this for a few days I gotta agree Microphones in 2020 is a fitting name for the album. It’s still an abstract/absurdist choice, but so is every lyric on the album. It’s also very anecdotal.

just watched the video and man, easy 5. that was amazing.

didn't think I would like this after being disappointed with Crow, but this is basically everything I want from a Phil Elverum album

This is the best thing he's done since Wind's Poem tbh. Very nearly the greatest thing he's ever done, excepting course The Glow Pt. 2.

agreed, this really blew me away. although i'm going to delete my rating, yet another Elverum release that feels weird putting a number on. but the slideshow was the best listening experience i've had from something this year, by far.

Seriously though, if you haven't committed 45 minutes to just sitting down with this album and reading along, I highly recommend it. It cures any instances of confusion over the album title, project name, etc.
