Nix Tilian, bring in the vocalist from Harvard.

They diss Tides of Man, and Jonny Craig on a song lol. Had they started out with Tilian they’d be on the same path like tides, it was the vocals of Jonny that really made them stand out in the first place. It’s strange that they’re once again talking shit on Jonny after doing their 10 year anniversary tour with him not so long ago. A change of vocalist is in order imo, they’re getting fucking stale with Tilian, and he’s getting pretty fucking cocky.

Lemme retract my previous statement. Get Tilian the fuckkkk outta there and bring Kurt back the fuckkkk in. Like seriously, this album is so by the numbers, nothing stands out, everyone is on autopilot, and most importantly...this album just kinda sucks. Coming right at 'cha from one of your Sput DGD fanboys. Fuck this album.

Fuck Happiness and Deathstar, agreed.

I mean Tilian's lyrics are really cringe.
"Confidence and stamina
I'm focused like a camera"
Lol, seriously? I think his voice is great tho, wish he would use his lower register more like in Say Hi

This album is such a let down. Not to say I was expecting anything good after they released "Three Wishes" which literally features a chorus which sounds like it belongs in a Subaru commercial. Love every album but this one. This one is trash.

Three Wishes is probably least fave on the album

After a few more spins, this album is indeed garbage. Gonna spin earlier releases to not be completely pissed at them

Some of the transitions between the two vocal styles are really clunky

Hmm yeah couple more listens and I'm not feeling this. There's like 3-4 standout tracks that would otherwise be filler on a good DGD album. Tillian is a great vocalist and I've been following him since Tides of Man but this is truly getting stale.

Prisoner probably has the most boring Tilian chorus I've ever heard but he sounds perrrrfect on Lyrics Lie.
everything else is somewhere in between but i feel he's generally strong on this album. i wouldn't say it's his voice as opposed to the melodies he's writing that are sounding mundane

Tillian needs to stop writing teeny-bopper lyrics.

the melodies aren't the best here, but his voice still sounds great to me

Another thing about this album is it feels like half the songs are just "half songs" that are just repeated twice to make it feel like a full song. There are several songs that are just Verse-Bridge-Chorus-Repeat and then maybe like 20 seconds of something at the end.
