Last records didn't do much for me, but this seems on par with Mindsweep and Flash Flood, maybe even better.

In 2012 I was obsessed with it. Nowadays it's probably between a 3.5 and a 4.

So did I. It was a 5/5 for me for a long time. Then I just didn't listen to it for a longer time. I'll give it a full spin this week just for you and bump my thoughts.

Yeah. This makes Mindsweep look like a bitch. They crossed the rubicon of their old songs with this.

Also....Damon Albarn wishes he made Elegy For Extinction

yikes honestly what is this? I loved the mindsweep but this is a cheesy garbled mess of synths and uninspired lyrics/vocals. How are so many people preferring this over the mindsweep? unbelievable

I genuinely hate Rubicon, but its cheesiness is a part of the bigger concept I guess. Highlights of this album are definitely highlights of their discography as well.

Was really debating listening to this since I always thought this band was kind of a joke, but two songs in and...at least they're trying these days!

Rubicon slaps hoard, total mid-2010s radio-pop goodness right there.

Track 8-13 is a fantastic run. Not sure if Waltz pt. II unfolds it's full potential with the king being it's predecessor. It's an amazing spring album for sure.
