still amazed at how casablancas writes everything (or at least he used two) he wrote is this it and room on fire all by himself, every riff, drum part, vocal melody, bass line, everything. Pretty incredible.

Yeah when they started Julian came up with everything himself and dictated everyone’s parts to them. Each album after Room On Fire had more and more songwriting credits by the rest of the band. Bad move imho
