Ugh this album is still such slop. The equivalent of Metallica and Megadeth’s most recent albums in terms of Sonic regression

The whole concept of being forward minded and unique for decades, then suddenly saying “you remember the old shit?” and then making an album that’s wholly derivative and watered down and sounds like DMDS but less good is insane to me. I’m not a huge fan of DMDS to begin with, so this feels even more safe and unnecessary to me.

If it's only half as good as Daemon, it will still be great. Stoked to czech it today. And either way, the album art is awesome and that always enhances the experience

I hope the new one goes more Esoteric Warfarish than this, cause I loved Esoteric Warfare a lot and although this one is pretty good I think this sound has given all the milk there is for them.

really dig this. very much feels like a modern take on dmds. just that classic norwegian sound executed at a high level by a talented group of musicians, especially attila and hellhammer. not like this sound is oversaturated anymore so in the mainstream of black metal it's still refreshing to me. still strands of their more experimental stuff like on malum, falsified and hated, daemon spawn. good stuff!
