Whoever said careen was the best thrice song in a decade is so accurate that it hurts.

Well wait Major/Minor was pretty solid but close enough

Dudes...get this clear...debut is fucking awesome...then they tried to repeat the did for a couple of albums. After that they entered the metalcore's tired formula (with some cool jams and albums here and there) until they reinvent their sound on Polar Similar. Still haven t listened to this one, but hon3stly hope they continue that path of self identity. m/

I need more time with this, but it could be better than Polar Similar. Right now it's about on par, but a lot of these songs just keep growing. Like Careen, Anna, If Loss, Translational, /with_errors. The whole album is just banger after banger.

DDD the first three albums all sound completely different so I’m afraid I don’t agree at all

^ Yeah same. And I think their first positive step towards recreating their sound can be traced back to Meridional and that they have only improved upon that with the last three albums.

this rips hard. I'm a more recent fan (I dig Wrongdoers onward way more than the rest) and this is the most immediate of their new wave, even though PS wins the emotive/progressive award.

pretty sure Cory does a lot of their artwork (I know he did Wrongdoers, guessing he did the last 2 as well) but yeah, this cover was a big miss for me (so early 2000s in the worst way). I also wish I didn't know he was a Trumper but eh it's a good exercise in just letting the music speak for itself, because this really does rule

They should've used the /With_Errors artwork as the official album art.

for reals. it's always baffling to me when the single covers are kinda cool and then the actual album cover sucks. like the latest Oh Sleeper release

Interesting article detailing each song's lyrical themes.

Its seriously baffling how they didnt go with it. Would be their best album artwork if they did.

Beginning of Orphan Twin made me think there was a Buddy Nielsen feature. Sounds just like him.
