@Larkin I hated 555 when I first heard it. Seriously. But now I find myself enjoying it. You might find it grows.

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if it did...some, at least. I don’t think I’ll ever love it or anything.

I love how dark the lyrics are once you let them shine through, and this weird video captures it n

LOL, what the fuck? That video is so random and weird. I love it! I’m reading that Jim directed it. I’m assuming that’s actually him behind the makeup and not some actor?

Video is pretty awesome and did help the song grow a little.

Yeah that's Jim. I like that he directed it because it means it probably reflects the lyrical tone of the song he was going for and what the song means to him emotionally.

I could see this becoming my favorite JEW album, not even kidding.

Don't want to be a hater, but I kind of can't stand the bridge to Diamond. The key change takes Jim's voice weirdly high. I wish they had some other backing singer take over for the bridge instead. Maybe some self-harmonised female vocals, just for the bridge.

Fuck I love that video. And music videos (nowadays at least) are usually blah or stupid as fuck.

Still surprised they chose 555 as a single.

Okay, lets just rant about how fucking SUPREME Congratulations is. They've always had amazing closers but holy shit.

I dunno, I think Diamond is pretty great. No issue with it on my part.

They've created a new category of closer. Everyone always wants them to recreate the magic of 23 as a closer. Now when they bring out new albums people will say "is the closer more of a 23 or a Congratulations?"

They’ll never top 23. Their best song, and it’s really not even difficult to give it that label.

Most will agree with you on 23 being their best song. I might too. It's the obvious choice.

I think "Invented" might be their best for me. 23 is the kind of song that leaves you breathless, Invented is the kind of song that stays with you even if you don't realize it.

23 is like one of the best songs from this century lmao, so that's fucking hard to top. Congratulations just felt like a gargantuan fucking closer tho, I just wasn't expecting something as hard-hitting.

Invented is solid but wouldn’t even make my top 10 jew tbh. I actually prefer Mixtape.

All great songs tho, I just personally think 23 is something special and trumps alol. Like it exists on a different level.
