Guys is this album a good start with Nick Cave? I've never really listened to a full album from him but im kinda interested on him to be honest.

This album, and the last few, are very different to most of his albums. It's not really a bad seed's album. He is best known for his songwriter stuff from 1990 - 97.

Fair tbh, 'Bad Seeds' now basically = Warren Ellis
Also 1988 - 2001 is probably a more accurate window. His work since then isn't any worse (Abattoir Blues, Skele Tree and this are fantastic), but that era is more representative of his oeuvre

Let love in is overrated. Start with Henry's dream, it's one of their best

I would start with Tender Prey or The Good Son - that was probably the period where it was the most exciting to be a Nick Cave fan (but then living in Melbourne I got to see them live a LOT back then so I may be biased). Then I'd move on to Henry's Dream or Let Love In, and then to The Boatman's Call. But you really need to listen to songs like The Carny, Tupelo and From Her to Eternity too - the '98 Best of is actually a really well-sequenced overview of their output up until that time.

This hit me way harder than Skeleton Tree. I know people are saying this isn't very immediate, but it is weirdly infectious to me. Can't stop listening. Fave tracks are the first 3, Sun Forest, Ghosteen, and Hollywood.
