katy perry isn't really all that talented, she was just given songs that happened to be perfect for her and pretty amazing in general. her singing voice isn't so great, her songwriting is lol, idk about her dancing tho.

Not a fan of this album at all. Tried a couple times when it came out and didn't care. Heard her SNL live versions for a couple songs a week back and decided to give this another spin because they were good. Album still does nothing for me. The slump continues!
Note: I'm a pretty big fan of Red and 1989.

"I think ironic thing about the song "The Man" was that if Taylor Swift was a man, she would not be famous-- dead stop. I look at talented women in pop like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Adele and feel like Taylor Swift just cannot sing. She doesn't hold a candle to her peers and it's truly evident on this record. I am not at any point awed by her range or her pipes. This is a person that skated into Nashville on dad's money and good looks. I hate when extremely rich people think they don't have enough."
