in Flames According to eyes in the last 4 albums included to make it so bad songs to be able to understand how I do not know it would be better to actually come after clarity, I think

The lyrics are serviceable if a bit cliche.

I shat on this album on my first listen but it's grown on me. Absolutely love the flow of the first verse over that riff on I Am Above. It's just so smooth. The album feels a bit more aggressive than their last two which is welcoming. If they could just tune down the chanty anthem choruses a little bit that'd be great

they brought back some melodeath elements, added a vague "come clarity" feel in certain tracks, and the result is their best album in 5 years. they should take note. I mean, it's ok if they want to stick with the alternative/melodic groove style of their newest stuff, just make the songs worth the listen

I think this was quite enjoyable tbh. The vocals did leave some to be desired but I find them to be quite an improvement compared to previous few albums. The guitar riffs are pretty great for sure as well

Anders' vocals have definitely gotten better. I'm wondering if keeping it more clean the past two albums has helped. You could tell them cords started begging for mercy, especially during live shows since around maybe 2010 or so.

there's pretty obvious autotune all over these last two albums though, I don't think he's gotten better so much as they've just tried their damnedest to make him sound better than he actually is
that said I too enjoy this album a good deal
