I found Air to have more interesting songwriting than this, and relied less on the vocals being the center point of each track. I don't hate high pitched vocals, but I do find these ones to be very tiresome and monotonous. Them being so loud in the mix and having so much presence with the reverb steps on the rest of the music too much and creates this degree of sameness throughout every track. Very rarely do they switch up into an interesting meter or melody.
There are brief instrumental moments throughout that I wish they were more fleshed out and present on this (the harmonized lead part in Fault at 4:08-4:32 is incredible).

I mean, a lot of black metal albums in the same realm have pretty similar vocals in the sense that the vocalist isn't doing a whole lot with their voice, but they still get high praise. I wouldn't say that Deafheaven or JORD have incredible vocalists, but they seem to get more love.
