“Pitchfork has gotten so awful in recent years”
Their top 10 this year is absolutely vomit-worthy. The only one that is somewhat okay is Low’s Double Negative. And it shouldn’t even be as high as it is. Mitski, Kasey Musgraves, and Robin deserve nowhere near the top.

Also, Snail Mail sounds like old Silversun Pickups. Am I the only one hearing it?

i didnt care for their first two albums apart from a single or two off each, but this was pretty consistently enjoyable for me. there are some ballads towards the end that go nowhere for me, but singles were undeniable hooky and catchy. im a bit confused as to why this album has their lowest average but im guessing its a backlash to their increased critical acclaim this year.

"If I wanted to listen to The Downtown Lights, I’d listen to The Downtown Lights, not some half baked rework with political nothing buzzwords just thrown in there"
The only thing remotely similar to that song in Love It If We Made It is the drum beat. The chord progression isn't even the same. Why do we keep comparing these 2 songs?

I wish people wouldn't compare those songs. The last thing I want is for The Blue Nile to be associated with this smh.

I’m not even really making fun of the cupcakke song, I’m making fun of pitchfork acting like “peeing on the dick” is a smart lyric

All of their albums could seriously benefit from a trimming. This has 8 spectacular songs and the rest is shit, kind of like the record before it. But damn, these guys have some TASTY fucking jams.

Strange, I thought the original ‘Ok Computer’ swept the board in AOTY critic lists back in 1997...this, the new Ok Computer didn’t :/
Honestly this was the funniest hyped album of 2018 - it’s just flattened out into ‘oh yeah, that was released’ in record time

I'd say the sput rating of this will drop below a 3.0 some time this year...but then I think maybe no one else will bother rating it.
I can feel this album dissolving into the mists of our collective memories as we..............
