what is it with this band and horribly repetitive choruses lately??? new song had decent momentum but the chorus just falls flat on its face, thank goodness it's short so it ends quickly

CHVRCHES in 2013:

Come in misery, where you can seem as old as your omens

And the mother we share

Will never keep your proud head from falling

The way is long, but you can make it easy on me

And the mother we share

Will never keep our cold heart from calling

CHVRCHES in 2021:

I feel like I'm losin' my mind

(Feel like I'm losin' my mind)

Feel like I'm losin' my mind

(Feel like I'm losin' my mind)

Over and over, I

Feel like I'm losin' my mind

(Feel like I'm losin' my mind)

Feel like I'm losin' my mind

Over and over, I try

Project, you pretty much nailed what to me is killing any and all enjoyment for me with their music lately. This last album was a lot in line with that and the new song does the same thing. Also the overemphasis on effects and auto-tune do not help whatsoever

it's so maddening that Love is Dead opened with Graffiti which is incredible and captures basically everything I love about this band, and then it goes on to generally suck for the rest of its duration, and now they're doubling down on the suck

I don't mind the "overemphasis on effects and auto-tune", I just hate the songwriting

I saw this band whilst tripping balls and it was an unpleasant experience.

@neek you should check the previous 2 then. If you have this at a 2.5 then those will hit at least 3.5s for ya

This album is genuinely solid. New one is shaping up to be better though, “How Not To Drown” is incredible.

It is barely solid, the songwriting feels eh and the production feels like a very watered down version of themselves. Get out and Wonderland are slappers though

This album is definitely not solid, but Get Out is definitely a jam

“How Not To Drown” is incredible [2]

This song blows everything on here out of the water, so I am cautiously optimistic
