"Source that breaking Benjamin's founding members were just "hired guns"?

I believe mark's post to come as truth, but the proof comes from this band's sound since they left breaking benjamin; as in it's gone to shit. "

I'd find it if I could, it was in an interview with him just before Ember dropped, I can't remember who it was by, but I looked through a couple articles and can't find it. I think Ben is telling the truth, but I guess we'll never find out

I enjoyed listening to this album, and I still do, so, it’s a 4 for me

I dig how it's their most agressive and catchiest at the same time (subjective ofc). I also like that they did try to amp it up, even though Ben is still far too rooted in accessibility. I'm surprised at how easily I can listen to this and have some cheap fun. Makes it very hard for me to go back to the rest of the discog

@Sweeny fair enough my guy. Now that I see you have their first three albums at a 5 I get how the description you gave last page still nets a 4 haha

Yeah these guys are super nostalgic for me, the band that got me into guitar music in general. This album could have been a k-pop effort and I'd still have it at a 3 at the least

If I was on this site when I was a kid Phobia would have been a hard 5, amazing album.

the review sounds exactly as the typical musical snob "it's accessible, so I hate it"

Not really lol. It comes off more as, “these guys desperately need to change-up their sound because it’s growing stale when they release the same album over and over and over”

Breaking Benjamin is like godsmack. Album they release, the worst they get. And then they're compared to chevelle, what a joke.

Nah bb is definitely a lot better than godsmack. Idk who you’re talking to that would compare them to Chevelle tho lmao

I think he’s taking the “Similar Bands” too seriously. Greta Van Fleet has similar bands like Rush and Led Zepplin but they aren’t comparative to them, if that’s what he’s getting at
