if you swapped title track with We Look Like Lightning, the first run of five on here would be the best run in their discography imo

as it is Heaven's Gate is honestly kind of bad/generic pop punk, The Ghosts of Right Now is fine but doesn't do anything The Bluest Things on Earth didn't do better, Blue Finally Came and Orange Grove both feel kind of unfinished and under-written

closer is a hell of a song undoubtedly

The Orange Grove is probably 2nd best here cuz closer is probably the best of their discog. The closer builds perfectly exactly where you want it to go but the ride there is just as good. It’s one of the best songs in the past few years for sure.

I will admit that Soupy is good that thing where he sounds rly and sad and like he's rly seen some shit man.

Standout tracks only appear after the TT

song builds in a horribly anticlimactic way in comparison to songs like I just wanna sell out my funeral, and now I'm nothing, etc. super drab

These guys are kind of like Brand New-lite around here. Their fans will defend everything these guys put out

"nah second half is insanely boring and repetitive for this band's standards" [22678900]

seriously, I can't tell songs apart on this thing after t/t other than sad and sober, and that's cause it sounds like a ncth b side

Kinda agree with Rowan on this album now. Sad cause initially I loved this... I dunno what it is. The production? The tone?

the production threw me off a little on the first song but I actually think it really fits on the rest of the album tbh
