i actually found these dudes to be the most impressive of the three when i saw them last year
but i had seen neurosis and converge before so that may have had something to do with it

In hindsight, I thought the same as well...actually, I thought Converge were the least impressive of the three which is not saying much cause I love all three bands to varying degrees.
unARTigNYC filmed Amenra's set from the first Warsaw show last year (along w/Converge and Neurosis' sets) and it's floating on YouTube. Total set time: 42 1/2 minutes. Expect Amenra to play for that long (45 minutes tops) on the upcoming tour dates if you're catching them on this go around. Pro tip: they'll be the first band playing, so if you wanna catch them in all their glory, be there early!

I can attest from being there (Warsaw), it really felt like it was an hour but I tranced out a few times, and was in awe half the time, that my perception of time might've been a bit warped during their set. A Solitary Reign is one of my favorite Amenra songs period next to The Pain It Is Shapeless and Nowena, but I have to say Daiken's climbing up real fast and it really was the perfect song to end yesterday's show.

Nothing compares to 'Am kreuz' for me all though Diaken is my modern day 'Am kreuz' That clean section near the end is fucking heart breaking. 'Am kreuz' Live is the one though. I have so much baggage tied up in that song.

Yeah you’re right deezer, Frank (Max Volume Silence) was at the show yesterday and also on Tuesday. He shared a clip of Silver Needle. Golden Nail from the first Vitus show on the MVS FB page. He filmed both Warsaw shows also but none of it has surfaced yet apart from a stillshot from one of his GoPro cameras.

Only once? That seems odd...weirdly enough they played it at the first Warsaw show but being brand new to Amenra at the time and not knowing what songs were which, I was just taking the experience all in so it was almost like one huge, 45 minute long song to me, haha.
Sometimes Frank records audio from the board but sometimes not...it’s weird and IDK why some are and some aren’t. Recordings like Neurosis @ Union Transfer 2015, Converge @ Vitus 2017 and Thou @ Vitus 2018 were sourced from the desk (Noah Landis even mixed the Neurosis one). I don’t know the dude personally but it’s cool that he films these shows, subpar audio and all cause there are a few people that been to those shows and are able to relive it through his content.
