This album makes me feel like Im watching a strangely tragic and vaporwave-soaked episode of Robot Chicken

From Tinseltown too Rome is prolly one of his strongest runs overall.

Finally just did my first spin of this - me likey. Dan Bejar is the man; I'm really glad he pumped this out so quickly after Poison Season.

This definitely feels like Kaputt's more introverted, less wine-guzzling, little brother. A little crankier, rawer. Poison Season almost serves as the elegant eldest sibling who drinks wine too, they all do, but was mostly concerned with its professional prowess. Apologies for my very involved sibling metaphor in this awesome trio of albums, (Trouble in Dreams serves as some sort of relative in his latest stretch of albums too, will report back.)

this might need a few more plays for me to fully appreciate, but it seems to lack a certain touch of genius that his last two albums had.
