I just tend not to like most metalcore ever since the melodic era push of it. The overuse of cleans, generic all the same sounding breakdowns, boring songwriting and lyrics just don't do it for me. The best metalcore to me was right when it was in it's peak. Don't get me wrong, I still love metalcore and some newer acts but few and far between. Newer bands like Frontierer, Sectioned, and Seizures to give an example and of course bands like Unearth, Converge, and Zao who are still alive and kicking. Speaking of Unearth they need a new follow-up already.

fuck knows whats going on with sectioned

but frontierer have the new album basically written i think. seen a few pics of them having a list of untitled tracks on their laptop. maybe vocals and mixing still need to be done. id say we can expect it early next yr but that is my extremely uneducated guess

Float is maybe the best thing on here but there's several that come pretty close. The harmonizing on Lifeline comes to mind.

Coordinates is the best thing on here despite that kinda lame jazzy interlude near the end, but everything else is pretty much paint-by-numbers ABR. And while certainly not bad by any stretch, this is incredibly safe and not anything we haven't already heard time and time again from the band.
