Not the direction I wanted her to go in, but it does what it does so much better than anything on apocalypse. Where Hiss Spun feels like an evolution of abyss, this feels like an evolution of her her first couple of records.

Great track, can’t wait for the new LP

And I’m loving her voice here, no effects whatsoever, and it’s still absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite working musicians

This is supposed to break I think, an "acoustic" album, and it kind of reminds me in some way to that that room sessions album she did. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Yeah and I liked the room sessions a lot. Boyfriend is one of the saddest songs I’ve ever heard.

from what I understand the new album was originally meant to be a stripped down acoustic record like Unknown Rooms but evolved over the course of recording into something a little more dense and layered while still maintaining a folkier sound

so I'm expecting something kinda like Apokalypsis

I'm totally down for a more laid back album after the last three

Anyone know where she recorded the new album?

Just based on this song I feel like it’s gonna be a cross between Apocalypse and Pain is Beauty.

But that’s a hard claim to make just based on a single

I fully intend on flying to her show in Portland, long shot but does anyone here know the presale password for Wonder Ballroom? The place looks pretty small, I’m pretty sure she’s gonna sell it out
