Sputnik Rule #14:
Anything below 4 is considered poor

Album Rating: 4.0
Iknorite lol. Personally i jam my 3.5s and 3s quite a bit and if its actually poor ill just rate it as such.
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
3's are generally albums i thought were decent but didnt have much replay value.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
Im about at that too. The line between 3 and 2.5 is the line between staying in my library or being sent to the trash bin.
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.0
yeah thays the problem with sput
why would you send a "good album " or close to it to the trash bin
people 4.5 every new album they think is "good"
|
| |
I think it is best to just keep ratings as numbers and to remove the good, excellent, classic, etc. that go with it.
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.0
kinda doubt this deserves a 3.9 avg tbqh

how are you guys really gonna rate this 3.5? like what better death metal albums have you heard lately? these guys are the kings of death metal and they're pretty near the top of their game here. to imply that it gets very significantly better than this quite often is a crazy assertion to me

Love that evil as hell guitar line intro to the opener, sets up what's to follow perfectly.

"like what better death metal albums have you heard lately?"
none, sadly. Ulcerate's new album was probably the last one. nothing wrong with a 3.5 tho, I was pleasantly surprised with how this album turned out. I had it at 4 for some time, but settled for a 3.5 in the end. but yea... riffs.
"these guys are the kings of death metal"
I'll agree with this tho, and I'm so glad they're still recording awesome shit 25 years after, and that they always remained true to their sound. total legends.
