Haha yeaaaaaah, I feel like we don't have a shot in hell though. Its nice to dream though.

At first I was horrified when he started rocking the stubble since for so long he had that clean-shaven and effeminate look, but damn he looks handsome now without the make-up and ridiculous haircut. The dude has aged really well.

I think his mustache looks pretty stupid but without that then damn, what a man. I feel like he's probably the best cuddler.

On a serious note, I just love watching this man talk about anything and I would love to just hang out and go to a concert or listen to music with him or something.

I think moustaches are the most repulsive form of facial hair (even worse than neckbeards) but he pulls it off somehow. How does he do it? And lmao yeah, best cuddler for sure. Would absolutely love to chat with him sometime, he's so lovely. Almost got to meet him at a fan meet-and-greet for Decemberunderground but other obligations came up. I did hold him up by the leg once while he was crowd-walking so that was great. My face was this close to his junk! =)

I met him once in Boston on the Crash Love tour. When I shook his hand I realized he had the softest hands. I don't even know how that was possible after rocking out for an hour and a half.

I was wearing my ex gf's hoodie at the time for Envy on the Coast, but it just said ENVY on the front. I actually listen to the Japanese hardcore band Envy. Anyway, he looked at it and said "Is that a band from the 90s?" I lost a chance to talk to Davey about the actual band Envy, and instead said "Oh, this is my girlfriend's hoodie..." Stupid! I wouldn't be surprised if he was talking about the Japanese band since he knows his music.

That's unfortunate man :/

But yeah, Davey likes a fair amount of things I wouldn't have expected likes Swans and GY!BE

i imagine davey as a music aficionado who secretly leads an underground resistance against all of the evil in the world and his "Alfred" is bernie sanders

I sort of forgot about this all year long. It's not amazing but certainly has its moments...I need to revisit it.

i feel like my biggest problem with this album at this point is that I know they could have made this better. But I do think some of these tracks do hold up really well.

Since they confirmed that they will indeed be doing another album I hope they don't even try to go for anything dark and maybe just go for something more like Crash Love.

They haven't done anything 'dark' since Sing The Sorrow and some tracks on Decemberunderground. And I think this album is a lot like Crash Love.

People said Burials was so dark, but I didn't get that vibe aside from the first track. I would say it feels cold and isolated.

Snowcats has to be hands-down the catchiest, most infectious song they've ever done. I skip it every time because it gets so stuck in my head.

I mean dark as in that's what the band was kinda going for, especially with Burials.

I liked Snow Cats when it was released. not so much anymore which kinda makes me sad. I swear when that preview came out, I was obsessed.

I hated Snowcats when it came out but it wormed its way into my head, the chorus is incredible. My fav songs on this are Get Hurt and Pink Eyes, although Still A Stranger and Aurelia are really getting up there.

Dunno which song I like on this the best. I typically eschew the first two, and I almost always skip “Dumb Kids,” but I know “Hidden Knives” has to be my most scrobbled one, cuz I prefer romantic murder.

This really is the first Afi album I’ve enjoyed since StS though, and it’s retroactively made me appreesh aspects of DU and CL more. There was no album between CL and TBA so ye

Dark Snow and Still a Stranger are easily 2 of the best on here. Dumb Kids and So Beneath You are some of the most fun tracks I've heard from them and they both were great live.

Get Hurt and Above A Bridge still feel like filler to me. they are okay.

I'm sad that this somewhat grew off me as a whole but it's still a good album.

“Above A Bridge” is, honestly, the closest thing sonically/aesthetically to Robert Smith’s lightning which Davey is still unable to bottle properly for some puzzling reason. It’s a good song however. One of the better ones on here.

I’d give this album like a 3.7/3.8 if I could. It’s 4.5 because morons exsanguinated the average

Davey’s heteroflexible, though he doesn’t adhere to the descriptor. My friend Sam told me earlier this year she’s seen him with other guys when they’ve been in each other’s company

Dumb Kids is actually one of the best songs they've ever made

That's a bit of a stretch but it is a fun and underrated song. Probably the biggest throwback they've ever done.
