Sometimes I think I should go through and down vote a bunch of stuff but then I realize that there's just a lot of albums that I really fuckin love and I don't care if I'm probably overrating them.

I've only gone back on one 5, cos generally I feel as though there's no album I'd be able to listen to over and over and continue to enjoy it. I would prefer to listen to some of my 5's over others, like way more, but I still recognise how good and how resonant it is. I've got it 5'd for a reason even if I don't really wanna listen to it right now.

nah it's just for me a 5 is something that has actually had a pretty hard impact on my life and has stayed fresh for me for a while so with that in mind I could never 5 something just after it came out. It usually takes at least 5-10 listens before I get peak enjoyment from an album anyway, and with truly great albums it often takes even longer for it to develop itself in my brain and tie itself to my life to a point where I consider it "classic".

there's way too many albums I really dig the first few listens but then it just wears off and I don't listen to it much again apart from a few songs and that probably describes the majority of my 3.5s and 4s

but that's just me
