Yeah except no, because I assure you that's comepletley untrue and donations are not the norm. Most zoos can't even look after their own animals, the idea that they're just giving away any reasonable amount of their profits is pretty naive. Now some wildlife sanctuaries and top of the line zoos do, but your standard zoo is in it for themselves.
Additionally some of these places, for example SeaWorld, try to move the focus on their 'rehabilitation' and 'Marine care' programs to keep people from realising they dont really care, or are completely ignorant. I mean there's no reason to keep orcas and they know their enclosures are piss poor. There's also a goddam lonely polar bear here in Australia locked in a SeaWorld. So behind their carefully constructed image of conservation they're really no better than your average zoo, and in some cases much worse.

I've managed to still not know what dicks out for harambe even means lol. My guess it would be talking about getting shot naked like a gorilla. If so what is even the point of simply just saying that phrase when you could put forth an intelligent argument against the treatment of animals? Fuck it's the intelligence thing isn't it?

I was wondering that too, but apparently 'dick' is slang for gun, and some dude posted a picture to facebook in your typical wannabe gangsta stance with a handgun and some short paragraph with the phrase 'my dick's out' or somehing in it.
