virtually every fucking shoegaze or twinkly emo band in my local scene (central/SE MA) sounds exactly the same

I almost feel like my opinion is wrong that I love The Price Is Wrong for whatever reason.
Eh, it's subjective I suppose, what can you do.

The price is wrong is a really good opener

I'll get around to a more positive review for this album at some point. I really do think this might be their strongest outing though. There are so many big moments, and Spencer really does continue to get better as a vocalist. The only song that I can think of that doesn't do much for me is "Motormouth".
"Lune" though... my god what a beautiful song.

I thought Catching Fire was weird but it didn't kill me the way everyone told me it would. Honestly the harder songs on this were the ones that were a bit off putting. I love the chorus on "Prayer Position" though.

Pretty decent album in my opinion; typical Periphery. Which basically means you either love it or hate it (I happen to fall into the first category).
