Look nobody wants for George to be at the helm at the movies, but I feel like if he had at least some kind of role like an assistant director things would be better. Star Wars is George's baby after all and we have to respect that. You whine about the prequels but he was the one who didn't give up and brought you the originals so have some respect.

ill respect him to a point, because outside of the prequels he damaged even the product he broke his back over bringing to life later in his career.

Even in the prequels Lucas was a great visionary. Some of the set pieces in the prequels are the greatest in cinema history. Look he had some bad characters and bad dialogue in it but it was Star Wars. It still felt like Star Wars.

TFA is like a bad cover band. Very bland, boring visuals with a rehashed story. All it makes me want to do is to go back and watch the good star wars movies.

Star Wars will never be Star Wars again without Lucas, BUT it can still be something else that is good if put in the hands of competent writers and directors. Abrams is not that, he's a hack through and through. No idea how that guy still gets work. I think Gareth Edwards and Rian Johnson have potential to make something good out of their movies, even if it won't be Star Wars.

taken on its own 7 wrecks the prequels. Even taken as a parallel'ing of A New Hope it's still better put together.

It's beyond me why people like this movie. I don't know if its nostalgia or what it is. But TFA was a bad movie, with a bad story, absolutely shit characters (except that Poe character a.k.a Wedge 2.0 ) and trying-too-hard visuals. I can point out a 100 flaws with that movie right now, and nobody's going to be able to explain them.

empire strikes back acting was average, the dialogue was mediocre and since it was just a cash grab they contrived some "oh how convenient" twist of vader being lukes father wow. And the sword fight at the end had really boring choreography not to mention the banter between han and leia was so obviously standard sex tension crap and generic as shit.

empire is 10/10 but if you want to have problems with something youll find them
