'There's a difference between putting out shitty lyrics then making the self titled album then putting out this.'

Sober would be one of the shittest songs I've ever heard if it weren't for She's Out of Her Mind.

it's blink-182, why is everyone acting like this is the end of some musical messiah? Even if this was as dark and mature as the self titled, it would still get a 2.8 because ya'll would be like "ugh just more whiny emo shit". This album is fun, I had fun with it

He's got a point though. They've even stated multiple times they want blink to be blink and nothing more. This is breezy stuff and should be enjoyed (or not) at face value. WYSIWYG music.

I'd disagree, I preferred their less mature sound. It's what made blink fun to listen to in the first place. This isn't exactly my go to band for inciteful tunage.

yeah i get that as well but at the same time i dont feel this has the same youthful fun tone their older work had, this just sounds like phoned in generic pop punk to me

even if you didn't like neighbourhoods, atleast they were evolving their sound. With this they're back to the start

News update: This isn't Blink. This is +44 with toilet humor.

And a 4.5, seriously? I know taste in music is subjective, but if somebody can have fun with this album, then I question if they're really that easily entertained.

Fair point Mort. This doesn't hold up to their older material, I agree with that, but at the same time I think it gets a little too much unwarranted hate considering what they were aiming for.

Tom better stay away from this band forever, he hasn't sounded good since 2003.

Anyone who wants Tom back is ignoring the many factors that make that a terrible idea

If this is what the band was aiming for then it's even worse.

In all fairness...when it comes to lyrics this album shows that tom at least tries harder.

I'm warming up to this a little bit I don't think it'll ever be higher than a 3

this album is a reminder to all us who actually grew up with these guys that it truly is time to grow up

Growing up is something you never stop doing and some good ol' nostalgia doesn't hurt every now and then. May these suckers never grow up though ^^.
