When this came out it was definitely my favorite release of theirs, but then grew off me pretty hard. Which is unfortunate. Still enjoy it a lot though, better than Aquarius and maybe Visions too.

The hype for this wore off pretty fast tbh. Still enjoying some songs off this, but not as much as The Mountain. I'd like to see them match this level on their next album though.

This is different than their previous albums and I do not know why.

maybe because it mostly relies on 80's prog nostalgia

I have to chime in every few months or so: The singer is just awful.

To me he's not awful...just emotionless. There are so many moments on this record where I don't feel like he's feeling the music at all. And while there are some cool moments, perhaps that's because the music is unspectacular as well.

Yeah I wouldn't say awful. Wish I dug this more as a whole tbh but oh well. m/

Anytime he's doing the robot-type delivery it's rough to listen to. I've never been able to tell if Haken's singer is really good or just really bad. I go back and forth throughout the course of a song.

I've been noticing that more and more prog bands are using the same vocal style. It's actually starting to annoy me.

Bound By Gravity is fucking beautiful. It reminds me of something Sigur Ros would make in the first two minutes weirdly enough. I wish the rest were as good as that song and Red Giant.

If you think Haken's singer is emotionless you never listened to "Drowning in the Flood", "Nobody", or "The Architect". The dude puts so much emotion into his work.

Ross isn’t emotionless by any means. I don’t get the shitty singer comments

I was listening to Atlas Stone once and found it to be pretty emotionless tbh. Some day some of this album popped up on Spotify and I really enjoyed it. I will check this band out some day. Where should I start?
