I really dislike how vocals sound like they're underneath everything

"Doomed Mid-Range"

HA

I didn't understand the sound quality complaints at all until I played it through my stereo. So far every track on the album except Acid Hologram has at least something boosted or harshly reduced. It's no St. Anger or Death Magnetic though.

I have to say, the production on this album is reallyyyy starting to bother me. Like, Phantom Bride is unbelievably washed out. Seriously it seems like just turning Abe and Delgado both up by like 3db would've immediately helped so much

I agree, you can hardly even hear Abe during the last minute of that track.

god forbid u not hear abe play the same drums as every other deftones song ever made

lets not even fucking pretend that u couldnt just imagine what every member of the band is doing in each song, they write the exact same fucking song over and over again.

I'm not sure if Gore is the best Deftones album, but I feel that it is their most consistent. This album feels like an experience, instead of a collection of singles.

At this point my favorite tracks are: Hearts/Wires, Phantom Bride, and Rubicon.

Yeah for better or worse, Diamond Eyes is by far their most single-oriented album

I don't think Abe has ever even done a buzz roll on any of their studio album lol.
