ye he used to have a ton of power, now he's more clear and kind of typical. still a good vocalist but def miss those low roars. he was a beast back in the day.

I'm really happy with how the re-record sounds. I agree that Jake is WAY past his prime at this point and I would have been much more excited for this years back when he sounded amazing, but it's still cool to get a new version of this. Still some of their best work.

Your Little Suburbia sounds decent on re-record. All hope is not lost.

They did a great job maintaining the integrity of the original sound in my opinion. The drum palate especially is excellent

Yeah the character of the album is still there and that’s always my main concern when bands do stuff like this. That Leveler remix was atrocious so I was nervous about how this would be handled.

Messengers/Constellations was peak Jake, he’s been on a slow decline since then

It's really good, especially the bookend tracks. Well the actual first song, not the intro.

Suburbia sounds amazing

Yeah I'm a little surprised. The only thing that irks me about this is that they changed

"i JUST CANT stop denying that our brothers are in miserable pain. And I CANT JUST stop denying"

to

"i JUST CANT stop denying that our brothers are in miserable pain. x2"

It's a super minimal thing that may well have been a mistake, but for some reason I always like that it switched, like there was a distinct motivation for it even if I didn't know what it was.

I don't want any more changes. especially to the last two.
