this was already discussed and moya is blatantly ripped off here, 530 into relinquish

it's kind of shallow to compare two different things coz of a string of notes tbh

Yeah. People comparing it to other records or the band's previous records that were way more basic black-gaze or rudimentary metal are missing the point. Mono ripped Godspeed. Godspeed ripped Arvo part. A minor scale doesn't belong to anyone. Haha. If anything I want less black gaze and more orchestrations from them on future albums.

what's the difference between notes and tones
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.0
uhm a lot
tone - a musical or vocal sound with reference to its pitch, quality, and strength
note - represents relative duration and pitch of a sound
for example, you can play a note on a guitar with a variety of different tones

Album Rating: 4.0
besides, of course it's the same timbre, it's the same instrument in the same / a similar genre
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.0
you expect bands in the same/similar genre(s) to use the same tone/timbre?
i mean it definitely happens, but thats no excuse
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
i expect popular timbres to be used a lot, yea. mono's timbre is not unique, not even close
