Just bought this on CD the other day actually, the opener is just a goddamn amazing pop rock tune but I forgot if I dug the closer!

Nightlight and Circadian Rhythm were excellent single choices. I remember initially being underwhelmed by the whole album but the other tracks really grow into their own over time.

It was so catchy and the bridge til the end was perfect. I love this band and can't wait for the rest

new song is exactly what I've missed and wanted from them for the past couple albums. it's not as dense, but it's definitely more Swoon in spirit than anything since that album.

Agree, that slight increase in energy in the end and the violin phrases, so excited about it.
|

softcore porn is more exciting than this album

the violin gives me a Royal We vibe and the way it builds up reminds me of Growing Old Is Getting Old. plus it's definitely moodier and more reverb-y than what they've been doing for a while

yes the violins were so perfect, I also loved the experimentation within the percussion like the stop/starts were so unexpected yet perfect and when Brian got up in his higher register at the end it was CHILLS
