Ritual was definitely inconsistent, Everblack boring? Yeah I can see that, although I like that album, nothing on there is a banger by any means.
Favorite off of this is "Threat Level No.3", love the vocals

I am not really seeing it apart from the colour. Burnt Offerings' one is a Gustave Dore painting made for Dante's Inferno with a red filter, and that guy has obviously been dead for more than a century.
