Attack of Titan is so cliche it hurts. I was on board for the first 5ish episodes, but ugh.



Felt the same towards Sword Art Online, which nosedived so hard during the first season(?) finale and after.

Elfen Lied was my first anime and it grabbed me as someone who was frequently bullied in a rural middleschool in South Carolina. There are a ton of problems with the narrative, but I could empathize with Lucy/Nyuu, more than I could any character in any medium.



Just struck me at the right time I suppose. The manga end is devastating.

The one problem I have with season 2 is that they reveal this one part that was supposed to take place in the first half of the first season and I keep thinking, "couldn't they have just done an entire episode based on it? It would've made a lot more sense."
